I am excited to be stepping into 2022, a new year of writing. In June my second poetry pamphlet, Ovarium, will be published by The Emma Press. I found out late last year that my first full collection has been shortlisted in Live Canon’s 2021 Collection Competition, and I am now waiting to hear if it gets selected as one of the three winners. Even if it’s a near miss, the shortlisting has been very encouraging. I am also deep into the latest draft of my second novel, which is a happy and stimulating place to be.

It’s been lovely to see my poems in two of my favourite magazines recently, Poetry Wales and Butcher’s Dog.

I am very happy that my poem ‘Results will be with you as soon as possible’ has been commended in the 2020 Café Writers Open Poetry Competition judged by Helen Ivory. I will be reading at the winners event via Zoom on 8 February 2021.
